Easy 3-Ingredient Chicken Caesar Salad Wraps Recipe

May 12, 2025

Some nights you need a fast, filling meal that uses what you already have (or you can grab quickly at the store). This one’s been on repeat in our house during this busy sprint season—and it’s not just my favorite. So many of you tag me when you make it, too!

I love seeing the different ways you tweak it using what you’ve got. Whether you use grilled chicken, frozen nuggets, or leftover rotisserie chicken from your last grocery run, these easy chicken Caesar wraps are endlessly flexible.

It’s a fan favorite straight from our Simple Purposeful Kitchen Cookbook, and it’s earned that spot for good reason.

In the cookbook version, I used chopped-up chicken nuggets (yes, nuggets!), but the beauty of this recipe is you can use whatever chicken you have on hand:

  • Rotisserie chicken (you know I grab one every time I go to Costco and stash some in the freezer)
  • Grilled chicken
  • Leftover chicken patties or tenders
  • Even air-fried frozen chicken nuggets (no shame—sometimes that’s the best kind of shortcut!)

Let’s get cookin’, shall we?

Ingredients

This recipe easily serves 4–6 people (one big wrap each!) and comes together in under 15 minutes. I grab all the ingredients at Aldi, and the whole meal costs under $20—a total win for a protein-packed dinner that feeds the whole crew.

  • 4–6 burrito-size flour tortillas (or gluten-free tortillas)
  • 4–6 cooked chicken breasts, chopped into bite-sized pieces (about ½ cup per wrap = ~20g protein)
  • 1 chopped Caesar salad kit (with crisp romaine lettuce, creamy Caesar dressing, grated parmesan cheese, and crunchy croutons)

✨ Optional: squeeze of lemon juice, a sprinkle of black pepper, or extra garlic powder for flavor

Chicken Prep (if grilling fresh)

If you’ve got a little time, grilled chicken is a great way to boost flavor and stretch across meals. Here’s how I do it:

  1. Start with boneless, skinless chicken breasts or chicken cutlets.
✨ Tiny tweak: Slice thicker breasts in half so they cook more evenly.
  2. Pat them dry with paper towels to help them brown.
  3. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Heat olive oil or avocado oil in a cast-iron skillet until hot.
✨ Tiny tweak: Don’t crowd the pan—let them sear and get that golden crust.
  5. Cook for 4–5 minutes per side, until juicy and golden. Let rest, then chop into bite-sized pieces.

Store any extra chicken in an airtight container for wraps, salads, or lunch the next day.

Shortcut ideas:

  • Rotisserie chicken
  • Pressure cooker or Instant Pot shredded chicken
  • Crispy chicken strips from the air fryer
  • Frozen chicken nuggets or chicken patties

 Wrap Assembly

  1. In a large bowl, toss the Caesar salad kit: lettuce, dressing, parmesan, and crushed croutons.✨ Tiny tweak: Want it a little more saucy? Try one of these:
    • Spread a thin layer of mayo or Caesar dressing directly on the warm tortilla before adding your filling.
    • Use half the lettuce but the full packet of dressing if you’re a dressing lover.
  2. Warm your tortilla in the microwave or skillet until soft and pliable.
✨ Tiny tweak: A warm tortilla folds better and won’t crack.
  3. Scoop about ½ cups of chopped chicken into the center of the tortilla, then top with a generous portion of the salad mixture.
  4. Fold the sides in, then roll from the bottom like a burrito. Serve immediately—or wrap it up for the road! Cut it on an angle for a fancy touch with no extra effort 😉!

Mix It Up

Want a totally different flavor? You don’t have to use a Caesar salad kit. Try any chopped salad kit you love—think Southwest, Asian sesame, or Greek—for a completely new spin on this simple wrap.

✨ Tiny tweak: Same chicken, same tortilla… whole new meal. This is one of my favorite ways to keep dinner from feeling boring without starting from scratch.

What do you serve the wraps with?

I like to prep a big veggie box at the start of the week—just raw veggies like baby carrots, bell peppers, cucumbers, broccoli, and sugar snap peas. It’s the best way to round out a meal fast and makes healthy snacking a no-brainer. Plus, if you need to take dinner on the go, you can tuck it into the cooler. We also love the Boulder Canyon individual bags of chips. I get them at Costco!

On-the-Go Tweak

Need to take it with you? Here’s my go-to trick. Wrap your warm Caesar wrap in a paper towel to wick moisture, then tightly wrap it in tin foil or parchment paper. It’s perfect for carpool dinners, game nights, or lunch on the go.

This is one of those quick meals that hits all the marks: It’s easy, flexible, budget-friendly, and made with clean ingredients you can grab at your local grocery store. Whether you’re feeding a crowd or just need a quick lunch or easy dinner, this one comes through every single time.

Let me know if you try it, and don’t forget to tag me when you do. I love seeing your own versions and those brilliant little tweaks that make it work for your family!
