Simple Toiletry Organization Solution for Your Guests

While visiting my sister-in-law last year, I loved that her guest bath drawers were thoughtfully stocked with all the necessities that might have been forgotten while packing. Then, last month when I was visiting my parents in Arizona, I noticed she had a whole basket of goodies in the attached linen closets for her guests too. I was so thankful to find a razor which I forgot to pack! I decided I needed to make-up a little caddy of my own when I got home because it was such a sweet touch that made my stay that much better!

Our guest bathroom also serves our children daily so I knew my caddy had to be something I could stow away when guests were not staying with us. I had an extra-large glass jar (similar to this one, click here). I thought it would look cute sitting out, ready to greet our guests, but also easily storable, out of the way day-to-day!

Since we had guests coming soon, I got to work looking through my bin of travel toiletries and picked new items to add to the jar. I also picked up a travel hairdryer. I figured the compact size would be great for storage. It could also serve our guests and should I need to use it for trips, I could! The hairdryer was the only item I had to buy!

What should you include in the toiletry caddy for your guests?

I included things like Advil, nail clippers, shampoo & conditioner, body wash, hair spray, dry shampoo bath soap, facial bar soap, a razor (not pictured), shaving cream, contact solution & case, toothpaste & toothbrush (not pictured), mouth wash, floss & kid’s flossers, a few make-up samples including mascara and perfume.

Basically, I tried to think of anything I usually take with me and added it to the list just in case one of my guests forgot. They would have everything they needed! If you aren’t sure what to add, you can go to your local Wal-Mart or Target and peruse the travel-size aisle and pick-up your necessities there.

It really is such a simple little addition to our guest bathroom but I know first hand what a treat it is as a guest. I have it on the counter now along with some towels and then when our guests leave, I can add anything that needs replenishing and then stow right below the sink along with our guest towels.
