Simple Egg Bake

There’s nothing I love more than a warm savory egg dish for breakfast especially when I am hosting guests.  However, I have searched long and wide for a simple egg bake that is also delicious and I finally found it.  Look no further than this simple egg bake made with stuffing and all the other goodness you love about egg bakes piled in.  Let’s get cooking!

 

 

Simple Egg Bake Recipe

 

 

Easy Egg Bake Ingredients – 

1 Box of Stuffing Mix of your choice + required ingredients to make according to box specifications

12 Eggs

1/2 cup milk

1 8 oz package of shredded cheese

8 bacon slices and/or 8 sausage links cooked and cut

 

Easy Egg Bake Directions – 

Cook the stuffing mix according to box directions in the microwave.  While the stuffing is cooking, grease a 9×13 pan.  Fork the stuffing after pulling it out of the microwave and then spoon the stuffing mix into the bottom of the pan.  Spread evenly to make a bottom layer. 

 

 

Cook or thaw your preferred breakfast meat.  For this example, I used 8 slices of bacon I had pre-cooked.  You can buy pre-cooked bacon or sausage links or cook your own. 

Next, mix 12 eggs with 1/2 cup milk in a bowl.  Pour the mixture over the stuffing mix.  

 

 

Sprinkle the breakfast meat into the egg mixture.  Top the simple egg bake with an 8 oz bag of shredded cheese on top.  

Cook uncovered at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until egg casserole has cooked through.

Make Now Serve Later Easy Quiche Recipe

I love a good simple recipe and I love quiche so I am excited today to share this easy quiche recipe that can be tailored to your taste bud’s desires.  There are just 4 basic ingredients and then you can layer in extra ingredients to make it your own.  Every time I serve it, I am always asked for the recipe.  It might be easy but it’s so good!

The great thing about this easy quiche recipe is you can make it and bake it ahead, then just rewarm it when you are ready to serve.  It looks dainty on a plate and makes your tummy happy.  Can you tell I love quiche?  It’s also pretty hard to mess up which gives it major bonus points in my book.

Let’s get to the easy quiche recipe, shall we?

Basic Quiche Ingredients —

1 refrigerated pie crust
8 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheese
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees (quiche will cook for one hour)

Additional Optional Ingredients —

cooked breakfast sausage
Spinach
cooked, chopped broccoli
onion
mushroom
bacon


Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees.  Then, crack 8 large eggs and 1/2 cup milk, whisk together.  At this point, I added in 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage as well.
Then add in 3/4 of the cheese, reserve a little bit back to place on the top of the quiche right before putting it in to bake.  Then mix all the ingredients together.

Place the pie pan on a metal sheet pan for cooking to catch any drips.  Then, carefully, pour the contents of the bowl into the uncooked, refrigerated pie crust.  Use the whisk to make sure the meat or optional ingredients are properly distributed.  Finish by sprinkling the reserved shredded cheese on top.

The most difficult part is gingerly placing the quiche into the oven without spilling.  Cook for 60 minutes at 35o degrees.  It is done cooking when you put a fork or knife in the middle and it’s cooked through.  It may rise while baking but allow the quiche to rest for a few minutes when finished baking.

I like to make 2 quiches at a time since the refrigerated pie crusts usually come in a 2-pack.  The last time I made this, I made an extra for Christmas morning.  I simply let the quiche cool and placed the quiche in a ziploc bag in the freezer.  The day before I will place in the fridge to thaw and reheat the quiche for 1 hour at 350 degrees covered with tin foil.  I can enjoy Christmas morning with my family and let my oven do the cooking.

I love to serve quiche with a fruit salad, cinnamon rolls, my favorite Trader Joe’s almond filled croissants or doughnuts.  Do you love quiche?
