What I’m Reminiscing About…

Christmas last year, we had a 6, 4 and 6 month old….It’s fun to look back and see how much growing they have done and how much fun we had!!!  It’s all worth it, every paper cut, late night, and stress!

A princess with hair extensions and a guy so happy about legos…

Matching jammies…

…and Santa delivered 🙂

A sweet squishy babe and a doting 95 year old Great-Grandmother

What I’m Loving…

Everything Christmas, we have been chipping away at our Christmas activity list.  Sickness has put us a little behind but we have gotten plenty of snuggle and movie time in!!!!

Nothing better than a baby stealing my popcorn, the glow of a Christmas tree and one of our many holiday favorites on the screen 🙂 I love Christmas movies…and snuggling.

What We’ve Been Up To…

This little one got some random GI bug that doesn’t quit.  We had a stool sample and whatever this little virus is, it can take up to a month to resolve.  Poor baby girl and I are tired…so much poop and vomit!

So now that we talked about poop, how about we talk cookies 😉  We wash our hands a lot and I bought a van-load of clorox wipes…our house is quite clean ;)!  We have been baking a lot because cookies make us smile!  Peanut butter blossoms, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and peanut clusters in round one and we need round 2 asap!

We love to push the 2 couches together and watch movies by the light of the tree.  I think this tradition born randomly one night years ago will be a childhood favorite of my kids…so simple but they beg to do it 🙂

We went to Jolly Holiday lights one Saturday night with the rest of our city – it was packed and we waited for over an hour but we had a car pizza party while we waited.  Then the kids used the blankets to make a fort while we waited.

What I’m Dreading…
Nothing really – I love Christmas but when it’s over I am okay with putting away the decor and feeling lighter…let’s just say I dread poop and I hope we are healthy for the rest of the winter!!!!

What I’m Working On…

Making sure all the gifts arrive…
…and wrapping them
And making sure little hands don’t unwrap them…even 5 and 7 year old curious hands!
What I’m Excited About…

We are going on vacation next month….just Scott and I.  With Christmas, I haven’t had much time to think about it or get excited but I think about it every time I eat a cookie and think I have to wear a swimsuit.  So, that helps in the not over-indulging department.  We are having a date night after Christmas to sit-down and plan out our excursions.  Fruity drinks and sand in my toes here I come 🙂

What I’m Watching/Reading…
We wrapped up season 1 of The Crown on Netflix.  It’s so good, if you like English history or the Royal family, you will love it.  Scott and I both enjoyed it and cannot wait for the next season to come out.  Season 1 covers the 1950’s.
I am also reading The Baxter Family Christmas, if you are a fan of Karen Kingsbury download this, it’s a sweet read 🙂
Of course I am listening to Praise Christmas and A Very Merry Christmas station on iTunes radio 24/7.
And a whole lot of Christmas….we have watched all of these this Christmas? What did we forget???
What I’m Wearing…
Feeling festive…
Sam Edelman Leopard flats (I got mine from ThredUP, similar), Ann Taylor Loft cardigan, buffalo check shirt (Von Maur), these bracelets, Kut from the Kloth Jeans, necklace gift

Alex and Ani Bracelets, Target Leopard belt, Forever 21 Duster cardigan, and lace trimmed tee from Kohls (last year)

My favorite cut in 1/2 blanket scarf, Uniqlo jeans, riding boots and Old Navy top (last spring)

My favorite leopard scarf (from the streets of NYC but similar to this), Target (Merona) striped tunic, and KUT from the Kloth jeans, Toms booties

To keep it real, I look like this 99% of the time when I am at home!  I just love to be comfy and cozy especially when it feels like NEGATIVE double digits!!!  They are this pant (but I got them at TJ Maxx for $12.99) and my cowl neck sweatshirt is from Kohl’s (and vintage ;).  Why is that vintage comfy clothes are the best???

What I’m Doing This Weekend…

Hanging out with my family – My sister and brother-in-law are flying in from Seattle and my parents are flying in from Pittsburgh.  It’s a regular ol’ fun family Christmas and we cannot wait.  We have gingerbread house making, cookie decorating, game playing, eating and fun on the agenda!!!!  It’s going to be 4 days of hanging out at home with these guys!!! YAY!  We have our eyes on this game, this game, and this game.  What do you like to play?
What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month…

FUN IN THE SUN 🙂 (similar suit)

What Else is New…

I am celebrating 3 months of blogging under the new name and hopefully to a larger audience than my mom (but I am thankful for you mom!).  My mom gifted me this sweet little ornament to celebrate chasing after a dream.  I love words, I love connecting with other women and I love sharing SO thanks for stopping by, leaving a note and encouraging me!
Bonus Question: Best Memory of 2016…
It’s hard to choose just one but we love to travel and enjoy making memories when we do!  So I would say our trips to both coasts of Florida and Arizona would be highlights for sure!

We also celebrated 10 years of marriage in June and marked the occasion with a family photo session on our actual anniversary.  Little did we know 10 years later, we would be snapping photos again with 3 kids in tow on a VERY HOT summer evening!

…and of course last but not least our littlest lady turned 1!
2016 was a year to remember and we have so much to be thankful for.  Look out 2017, here we come!

Merry Christmas!
